Courses

In association with partners listed below, Capacity Global is the first UK organisation to introduce environmental justice training into the mainstream education system.  Details of the course are given below. If you are interested in developing ideas about environmental justice within the education system, either at a primary or secondary school, a college, or a university/adult education institute contact: training@capacity.org.uk

Below is a list of our current courses

TEN

Capacity Global follows ten people from a diverse range of backgrounds as they receive training and work experience in the countries leading environmental organisations.  The TEN project tracks the progress of each intern, documenting the personal and organisational transformations that arise in a sector known for it’s cultural exclusivity.

Environmental Justice Activists

Funded by the Big Lottery Fund and run in association with Friends of the Earth Scotland, this course, taught at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh trains ordinary people to be environmental activists.  Students undertake 12 units of study and work with a community group on an environmental justice project. On completion of the course students receive a Higher Education Certificate that contributes towards the first year of a relevant degree.
