| EJ Clinic - Legal Action and Research for Communities Scheme | |||||||||||||||||||||||
Capacity Global have joined forces with University College London to set up a first environmental justice clinic with post graduate law students as part of Capacity Global's Environmental Justice resource centre. The aim of Legal Action and Research for Communities Scheme ( LARCS) is to provide a framework for UCL law students to carry out research and provide advice to local communities concerned with environmental injustice issue and provide training and on-going support from Capacity Global. Students will be trained by Maria Adebowale, Capacity Global's Director and environmental law expert Dr Jane Holder. The key objective of the scheme is to provide UCL students with valuable experience in the NGO sector and to ground their legal learning and research in practice. The scheme also fulfils a broader aim of engaging UCL students with local communities, in line with the education for sustainable development movement.
