Capacity Global operates as a social enterprise. That means our main purpose is to fight for environmental and social justice rather than make a profit. If and when our work generates income, we use it to maintain our ongoing programme of work or funds are invested in new projects. 

Self-Funding
Using revenue gained from commissioned research and policy work, Capacity Global self-funds a number of small internal projects.

Capacity Global fundraising work is guided by our ethical statements and principles. When choosing funding partners we act with strict political neutrality so as to maintain the moral and financial independence of all our project and research activities.

Grant & Sponsorship Applications
Capacity Global has successfully applied for and received project funding from the following organisations.  Thanks go to,

1. The Big Lottery Fund, for its grant to support the 'Environmental Activists' training project.  A joint collaboration by Capacity Global and Friends of the Earth Scotland.
2. Jean Lambert MEP and the European Parliamentary Green Party for funds donated to support the European, youth and environmental justice project - 'Better Cities'. 
3. DEFRA for its seed funding to support the 'Every Action Counts' project consortium, of which Capacity Global is a member.
