Capacity's Ten project seeks to encourage diversity within the environmental sector. Whilst discussions on exclusion and diversity often focus on ethnic diversity, Capacity has a definition of diversity that embraces a wider remit including disability, gender, sexual orientation and age amongst others. As such the programme seeks to encourage individuals from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds to seek employment within environmental organisations and agencies. As part of the Ten Project, Capacity will provide training on pertinent environmental issues in the UK and globally. Each participant gets the opportunity to have a mentor who has experience in environmental issues and sustainable development. At the end of the course the participants will obtain a course certificate and will use the training to get the best of their work experience and to develop their careers. For more internship and training opportunities through Capacity Global please contact projects@capacity.org.uk
