15 Oct: 21 Years On - Diversity and the Environment Movement
As part of the Every Action Counts programme, Capacity was commissioned to do some work on diversity and environmental/sustainable development. The report is now completed and illustrates that not much has changed since the first conference on 'Involving Ethnic Minorities', 21 years ago.
On the basis of the report Capacity has decided to write a short sharper manifesto of action required by the sector to include: BAME's, disabled people and young people. Baring in mind the need for collective action in a multi cultural society to tackle climate change the issue of inclusion in the environmental agenda is crucial. The launch of this manifesto will take place in London on the 15th September.
