10 Oct: Coalition for Access to Justice for the Environment: Aarhus and Access Rights: the New Landscape
A day of inspirational presentations and workshops on environmental access rights into Rio + 20 and beyond.

Capacity's will be hosting a workshop on 'Making it Real: Civil Society Participation and Decisioning Making'

The workshop will provide an opportunity to hear and discuss the reality for most people of public participation. The panel will give an overview of their experience of what works and what doesn't. Using examples from planning, land transfer and access to green space amongst other issues.

Delegates will learn how to shape good participation and decision making processes; and how to practically get involved in decision making as a community group, non governmental organisation or individual.

The panel members are: Kieron Stanley, Environment Agency; Barbara Willis-Brown, Director SCAWDI and Naomi Luhde-Thompson, Planning & Policy Advisor, Friends of the Earth and will be chaired by Maria Adebowale, Director, Capacity Global
