Iara Iudicissa and Charles Olisanekwo from The Just Cities Youth Group delivered an interactive workshop for a group of one hundred and seventy 10/11 years old pupils from 4 Islington primary schools on the 25th June 2009 at the London Metropolitan University.

The workshop was part of the SAUCE Programme, which is part of  a European programme of events that will also run in Austria, Denmark, Germany, Latvia and the Netherlands. This workshop will provide opportunities to link with other schools in these countries, and in developing countries most affected by climate change.

The UK SAUCE programme is based in the Department of Applied Social Sciences at London Metroplitan University (London Met), and is supported by the Government Office for London (London Sustainable Schools Forum), Islington Council (Islington Environmental Learning Partnership) and the Commonwealth Human Ecology Council.

The Just Cities Youth Group workshop focused on creating awareness of the impact of Climate Change on the poorest people around the world and the actions that can help to tackle the problem. For more information on this programme go to: http://www.schools-at-university.eu
